Strategic Technologies Certified in Sun Microsystems’ iForce Storage Elite Program
Strategic Technologies has recently been named to the Sun Microsystems’ iForce[SM Storage Elite Program. Highlighting Strategic Technologies’ data management and business continuity practices, the Storage Elite Program qualifies and certifies key partners who have a core competency in storage hardware and software consulting integration. The new program builds on Sun's "Complete Storage Solution" effort by offering qualified partners a unique opportunity to meet growing end-user requirements for complex storage integration; it ensures that partners are not only expert with the integration of Sun servers and Sun storage, but also with heterogeneous storage hardware and software that may currently be installed or planned for a customer's data center. This certification gives companies a benchmark for evaluating their storage partner and allows them to be more confident in their storage decisions.
Designed to help customers drive down total cost of ownership (TCO) for storage in the enterprise, the new certification program seeks to empower highly qualified partners like Strategic Technologies who can deliver on this focus with best-of-breed storage management software, architecture, and services. The comprehensive approach to managing storage and optimizing existing data infrastructure gives back capacity and resources while reducing operating costs and maximizing return on storage investment. In addition, the company provides long-term, day-to-day support through its Customer Care program.
"I congratulate Strategic Technologies on becoming a member of Sun's Storage Elite club. Sun Microsystems is excited about our collective storage opportunities in the marketplace and look forward to Strategic’s contributions to this important initiative,” said Bill Cook, vice president of storage sales, Sun Microsystems.
Anthony Orlando, vice president of systems consulting & integration at Strategic Technologies said, “This certification validates our ongoing commitment to architecting and deploying enterprise class solutions that meet our customers’ accelerating storage and data management requirements. Recognizing that data is a vital company resource, Strategic’s storage consultants understand all the competencies required to effectively manage storage, whether it is implementing a storage area network, designing a business continuity plan, maximizing the use of existing capacity, or simply improving daily operations. Sun’s iForce Storage Elite certification, coupled with Strategic’s existing SunTone certifications, demonstrates our investment in architecting, designing, and deploying non-stop storage infrastructures and managing, protecting, and extending our customers’ data. With these certifications, Strategic Technologies’ customers and partners can be confident that we are positioned to deliver world-class infrastructures.”
