HUMBOLDT STORAGE AND MOVING’S IRISH EXCHANGE PROGRAM
Canton Company Doubles Program’s Crew
DATELINE: CANTON, MA, ISSUED OCTOBER 5, 2001… It was a second successful year for Humboldt Storage and Moving’s Cultural Exchange Program with Ireland this past summer. Humboldt Storage and Moving, the largest United Van Lines agent in the Greater Boston Area and based in Canton, MA.

Ireland’s fifteen exchange students that met the educational requirements and possessed exemplary grades and work habits came from several of Ireland’s universities.
The participating students were:

International Benefits
Due to a shortage of employees within relocation crews during summer months, Humboldt looked to the international market for help. The Cultural Exchange Program was developed with Ireland, thus aiding Humboldt during their summer “employment crisis”. In return, Irish exchange students were able to earn money throughout their summer employment for the upcoming college year.
“The Cultural Exchange Program benefits both of us,” said D’arcy Goldman, President of Humboldt Storage and Moving. She added, “Relocation usually always increases during the summer months. With our Cultural Exchange Program, we are able to obtain the additional help during the summer months, while enabling the exchange students to save money toward their education. The Irish crew did a great job.”
Currently, Humboldt has over 90 employees and offers a wide range of employee benefits to attract and retain motivated employees ranging from health and dental insurance, profit sharing and retirement programs to stress management, weight loss workshops and educational reimbursement programs.
